Depression in Black Gay Men: A Silent Issue

New York based reporter Jose Bayona examines the issue of depression and suicide in black gay men in this news segment using the suicide of 26-year-old Joseph Jefferson as the backdrop.

Jefferson, a Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, resident, was a young HIV prevention counselor who committed suicide in October 2010. His death has become the latest example of black gay men who struggle with depression and keep silent about it.
